Avoid the chaos of Black Friday this year by staying close to home. There's plenty of shopping in Potomac on Nov. 25 and on Nov. 26, during the American Express Small Business Saturday. Residents who register an American Express card online and use that card for a purchase of $25 or more at a small business this Saturday will receive a $25 statement credit. Chico’s and Strosniders, both on River Road, said they plan on offering Black Friday deals. Employees at Strosniders, open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, said they are most excited about Small Business Saturday and the shoppers they expect the event will attract.
