Deck the hall with boughs of holly, fa la la la la... The holiday season is just beginning, but Christmas songs are inundating the airwaves. In a weekend filled with holiday music events, Potomac Patch thought it might be a good time to survey Potomac and see what everyone's favorite holiday tune is. Do you rock out to "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" or are you a "Silent Night" supporter? When it comes to caroling, do you prefer, "Jingle Bells," "The 12 Days of Christmas," "Frosty the Snowman" or "Feliz Navidad"? My very favourite Christmas tune of all time is "Do You Hear What I Hear?" as sung by the incomparable Bing Crosby in 1963. Written during the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962 and being released only a few days before the assassination of President Kennedy, that beautifully-crafted number struck a literal chord with the American people.
