The blizzards, warm fireplaces and chemistry of 1955 Kansas will roll into Winston Churchill High School Feb. 8 in a production of William Inge's dramatic comedy "Bus Stop." According to the production release on Patch: "Bus Stop" follows a group of strangers traveling by bus, stranded in a rural Kansas diner during a freak snowstorm. The story follows eight characters as they experience frustration, tears and laughter, examine their own motivations and forge unlikely romantic connections in a single night. "'Bus Stop' is an endearing, deceptively simple play that taps into universal feelings," said director Lynda Scionti. "I have wanted to direct this production for some time and it finally came together with this cast at Churchill. We …

In exchange for a donation of new pajamas to local non-profit A Wider Circle, Potomac’s Orange Leaf Yogurt will offer a free 3-ounce yogurt to customers all day Sunday. Based in Silver Spring, A Wider Circle is a nonprofit program benefiting adults and children affected by homelessness, poverty and substance abuse in the greater-Washington DC area.
