Councilman Roger Berliner Meets With Bethesda, Potomac Community Wednesday

Montgomery County Councilmember Roger Berliner will host an informal discussion about District 1 issues with constituents Wednesday evening.

Bethesda, Chevy Chase and Potomac residents will have the opportunity to meet with their Montgomery County Council representative in a town hall setting on Wednesday. Roger Berliner, District 1 council representative, will meet with residents at 7:30 p.m. at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Service Center as part of a series of community meetings. Residents can ask questions and discuss issues most important to the Bethesda, Chevy Chase and Potomac areas.  “At the Bethesda-Chevy Chase meeting, we will discuss local issues important to residents, including planning and zoning projects, environmental conservation, traffic and transportation concerns and public safety,” Berliner said in an announcement. “I hope my constituents will come …

Potomac Police Move From Seven Locks To Gaithersburg

The First District Police Station, which covers areas in Potomac, North Potomac, Darnestown and Rockville, is schedule to move to the new Public Safety Headquarters in May.

  Police headquarters for Potomac will soon be moving from Seven Locks Road to a new location in Gaithersburg. The First District Police Station, which covers areas in Potomac, North Potomac, Darnestown and Rockville, is schedule to move in May to the new Public Safety Headquarters at 100 Edison Park Drive in Gaithersburg. In addition to the First District Station, the $108.5 million project brings Montgomery County Police Headquarters, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services, the office of Homeland Security and parts of the transportation department under one 408,000 square-foot roof. Too far away. We need a police presence in the village. If the station is 20 miles away - there should be an officer down in the village. No wonder there ate so many robberies in the village. Help is 30 minutes away.   more ›
