Getting a seat at Potomac’s Grilled Oyster Company is no mean feat, according to reviews. The Grilled Oyster Company, located in the Cabin John Shopping Center, opened Sept. 5, serving dishes from grilled oyster – of course – to Old Bay fries and a Chesapeake cioppino. The Table Talk blog on Bethesda Magazine reports that without reservations, a weekend diner could wait upwards of an hour for a table, but the wait is worth it. “It’s shaping up to be a very nice restaurant, with reasonable prices, a pleasant ambiance and dishes made with high-quality seafood,” Table Talk blogger Carole Sugarman wrote. Potomac’s latest seafood joint opens Sept. 5 in the Cabin John Shopping Center. The Grilled Oyster Company will start serving dinner on Wednesday at 4 p.m. and will be open for lunch beginning Tuesday, Sept. 11, according to Bethesda Magazine. The restaurant will serve dishes such as grilled oyster, fish, crab, mussels and Old Bay fries. Washingtonian posted a tentative lunch menu on its website. Husband-and-wife team Valerie and Rick Dugan have been putting the final touches on the first solo venture in their 25 years of Washington restaurant service. The space formerly occupied by Pomegranate Bistro will soon open its doors to a Chesapeake-Bay themed restaurant, just in time for Labor Day. The new eatery is accepting applications for employees. Washingtonian Magazine reports that husband-and-wife team Valerie and Rick Dugan are putting the final touches on the first solo venture in their 25 years of Washington restaurant service.
