Santa's Tour Bus Heads To Montgomery Mall

Santa will stop by the Montgomery Mall Macy's during a Monday event as a part of a campaign to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Forget the sleigh and reindeer—Santa is upgrading his ride this year as he travels to Bethesda to visit with children. In addition to a motorcycle ride to benefit sick children at The Children’s Inn, Santa also is boarding a Macy’s tour bus and stopping by Macy’s stores across the country—including the store at Bethesda’s Westfield Montgomery Mall. Mr. Claus and his elves will make an appearance at Macy’s at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10. The family-friendly event will feature students from Yorktown Elementary in Bowie performing Yes, Virginia the Musical. The Teen Angel Project, a youth music and dance group, will also take the stage. The bus tour is a part of Macy’s annual "Believe" campaign, which encourages children to write letters to Santa …

Macy's Collects Santa Letters For Make-A-Wish Donation

Macy's will donate $1 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, up to $1 million, for every Santa letter dropped at the Westfield Montgomery Mall store.

If only it were possible to help make the world a better place with just our greedy, materialistic thoughts. Apparently it is. The 5th year of Macy's Believe Holiday Campaign benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation is in full swing, allowing children of all ages to trade in Santa letters in exchange for $1 donations to the charity. Children of all ages can bring a stamped Santa wish letter to the Westfield Montgomery Mall Macy’s, addressed to Santa at the North Pole, and drop it into the Macy’s Santa Mail Letterbox. For each letter received, from now umtil Dec. 24, Macy’s will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish up to $1 million, according to a recent blog post on Patch.
