Montgomery County Fair Where: 16 Chestnut St., Gaithersburg. When: Aug. 10 through 18. Fridays: 3 p.m. to midnight. Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m. to midnight. Why go: Check out the largest agricultural county fair in Maryland; features farm animals, rides, food and entertainment. Price: $10.
