National Geographic Live is back and will be filled with plenty of events to choose from. Photo Editor for National Geographic, Adrian Coakley gave fifth grade students at Potomac Elementary School a few tips on their own photography.
National Geographic has been to the most remote places in the world, and now they have been to Potomac Elementary School. National Geographic photo editor Adrian Coakley visited Potomac Elementary School's fifth grade students to discuss nature photography on Tuesday, Nov. 16 and gave them a few pointers on their own work. The students have been working on an art project for their science class, where they draw pictures, write poetry and prose, and take photographs based on the natural world. Potomac Elementary School Principal Linda Goldberg said the school has integrated art into their regular courses for eight years, partnering with the Kennedy Center's Changing Education Through the Arts [CETA] program.
