Cold Weather Isn't Crepe Weather?
Freezing temperatures have caused Rita's Crepes to close temporarily.
Rita's Crepes has shuttered temporarily, according to a notice posted on the popular Bethesda Row crepe stand at Bethesda and Woodmont avenues. Consistent freezing temperatures have caused the stand's water lines to malfunction, according to the sign. "We will be back when things change," read the notice. The sign encouraged patrons to visit Rita's Crepes at the Bethesda Central Farm Market, held Sundays at Bethesda Elementary School from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The kiosk, run by Annandale resident Rita Douglass, has been serving up the sweet and savory treats to hungry Bethesda Row shoppers since 2009.
