BGR Burger Named Third Best In World

This month, BGR is serving up the burger that was named third best at the World Burger Championships in Las Vegas.

Want to taste test a world champion burger? Look no further than BGR. The Burger Joint's entry in the World Burger Championships last month took home third place -- and the title of third best burger in the world. “The World Champion” is a prime dry-aged burger topped with bacon/onion jam, fried egg, cheese and pineapple, according to BGR reps. This month, BGR is featuring the winning creation as their burger of the month. The Burger Joint was selected in October to compete in the World Food Championships, described by QSR Magazine as the "highest-stakes food competition in the world." Does BGR make the best burger in the world? We'll soon find out. The Burger Joint has been selected to compete in the World Food Championships, described by QSR Magazine as the "highest-stakes food competition in the world." The event, set for Nov. 1 through 4 in Las Vegas, will be hosted by Travel Channel personality Adam Richman. Competitors will face off in multiple food categories, and each category winner will advance to a "final table" where the World Food Champion will be crowned, QSR reports. I have been to BGR twice, once in Bethesda and once in Washingtonian Square. [The latter location took forever to open, but it is right by the theaters -- very convenient.] The burger from the Bethesda joint was disappointing, but the french fries and milk shakes were very good.
