Thanks for the recommendations. Silver Spring readers will appreciate knowing there are tasty dishes at places in our area. Ray's to the Third is open (1650 Wilson Blvd.), but the two original locations for Ray's Hell Burgers in Arlington have closed.

ReplyThe Soul Rolls from Urban BBQ did make the list. There are locations in Silver Spring (Hillandale Shopping Center) and Rockville. You would think that at least one other Silver Spring restaurant would have an offering worthy of the list.

Thanks for your comments, Jason. I was really impressed with the graciousness of Filippo Leo, the owner of Marchone's. He praised his wife, Maddalena, and her cooking. Marchone's menu says they "will always try to help you in a pinch" on catering orders. Your comments let us know that the owners' caring attitudes toward customers is genuine.
