I am an American Muslim of Pakistani descent. My parents immigrated to the Washington D.C. area in the late 1960&#39;s. I grew up in Rockville/Potomac. I have a B.A. from University of Maryland in English Language and Literature. Currently, I have three kids in school in Potomac. 

I will be writing about community issues from the perspective of a parent. I will also be writing about issues that are relevant to me as an American, as a child of immigrants and as a Muslim woman.
